"Picture"

"I see our fate
I see our past
And all the things
That could not last
It's heavy on these eyes
Frozen as I hold this photograph"

"It's all we're left
That's of any worth
And it's so much more
Than a thousand words
Now in this frame
Is the only way we can endure"

I never have any luck finding cute clothes when I go into Good Will, but I always happen to find cameras. I picked this one up a few months ago and finally got my film developed. It sucks because the Walgreen's by my house no longer develops 35mm film in an hour. They ship it out, so now it takes like three weeks. :(
I was looking at some photography on fliker and it got me really excited. However, it all went away when I picked up my film. I'm not a fan of how the colors came out. I am not sure if it's the the way the new company develops the photos or the camera, but I don't like it at all. It looks like I messed around with the saturation on photoshop. Also the focus range is really awkward. I have to be really far so it can be in focus. Half of my shots were all out of focus. The automatic winding is great though and its a really light camera. I recommend it if you want something quick to shoot with and throw in your bag.

"Seeing Red"

"You see me and you laugh out loud
You taunt me from safe inside your crowd
My looks, they must threaten you
To make you act the way you do"

"You see me and you think I'm a jerk
First impressions without a word
You can't believe your eyes at first
But now you know you've seen the worst"

Jack has been obsessed with Pooh and Thomas the train lately. That's all he wants to watch and play. It was too hot to be walking around Disneyland, so I brought him to this little train museum in Lomita. I didn't even know it existed. Originally I was going to take him to the train place at Griffith Park. My dad always took me there as a little kid. However,, I searched for closer places and this little gem popped up! Its really small, but Jack loved it. He spent hours playing and running around. He is the cutest little thing.

"L.A. Girl"

"L.A. girl, L.A. world
Don't tell us how to act, don't tell us what to wear
L.A. girl, L.A. world
You didn't create our scene"

"Stuck in your world of dreams again

You've burned out your battery has died
If it wasn't for O.C. your scene alive"

I've been going to downtown LA a lot this summer. I'm helping my best friend, Sandra, with a project for her summer program she's in at USC. We are looking at how air pollution can affect parts of the brain. We've been trying to get some surveys done, but it's really hard. No one wants to do it :( Those that do are rude or don't understand what air pollution is. We need 30 and only have 4. It's going to be a long summer, but at least my friend and I have fun exploring the old side of LA. Until it gets dark that is lol.

Besides that, I have been going to LA with my friends and family. I went to the California Grand Plaza for the summer nights concert. I didn't know this, but they have free little concerts at the plaza on the weekends during summer. It's really cute. I have never heard of any of the bands playing, but it was still fun to watch and take in the view of LA. The have free things, coffee, and records. They have some food places, but you can bring your own to have a picnic.

I also attended the LA Art Walk for the first time this month. I loved it! If you have not gone and live near by I highly recommend it. Artist are selling their work and even painting in front of you. I wanted to buy some art, but naturally I picked the most expensive ones that were $2,000. The Art Walk takes place on Spring St, also known as the coffee district. I really want to live here. :) Lastly, I went to The Last Book Store where I fell in love and wanted to move in. Books, books, books, as far as the eye can see. Upstairs they have a labyrinth of used books for $1. It's a book worms dream.

"I Don't Want to Hear it"

"I don't want to hear it
All you do is talk about you
I don't want to hear it
'Cause I know that none of it's true
I don't want to hear it
Sick and tired of all your lies
I don't want to hear it
When are you gonna realize..."

"Shut your fucking mouth
I don't care what you say
You keep talking
Talking everyday
First you're telling stories
Then you're telling lies
When the fuck
Are you gonna realize"

I hate when people complain all day, every day, 24/7. Especially when its about things that they knew were going to happen. My favorite though is when people complain about things and don't do anything to change it or make the situation better. Its okay to vent, but to a certain extent. Complaining that you never have money and then going out to bars every night is not venting. You know beer cost like $20 and your soul! You don't need another job, you need to get your shit together.

Ughhhhh people. This is why I want to work with dead ones.

In other news...my sister graduates from 8th grade tomorrow! So excited for her! Congrats to all the graduates of 2014 :)

This is the third roll I shot for Indisposable Concept. I am so happy with it! It was a tone of fun documenting my spring break from Uni. I am really glad I did this. I cant help, but smile now as I look back on the memories I made. Indisposable Project is something everyone should do at least once in their life. Trust me; you wont regret it. These are my favorite of the roll, but you can see the entire roll here. You can also read about what Indisposable Concept is here and check out my previous post on my blog here (1st roll) and here (2nd roll).

Lip Service Sample Sale

This weekend I went to the Lip Service Cult Biannual Wear house Sale. My inner high school goth girl was coming out! They had amazing stuff at such great prices. Everything was at least 50% off and they had red tag items that were $10 or less. Originally, I was going to wake up at 6 to be there at 7,,,but I was really lazy and ended up falling back a sleep after my alarm went off. After I got my full nights rest, I decided to go. I got there around 12 and the sale started at 10 am. There was still plenty of stuff there, but the only downfall was that sizes were limited. It seemed like they had more, but since I got there late my size was taken in mostly everything. I still got great things though! There were also like 4 other brands there selling items. Here's what I snagged up:

This KC by Kill City mesh dress was only $10. It's simple and cute. It was a one one a kind sample piece they had. The sewing on the straps is a little bunched up, but it's a sample! They are never perfect. Besides, I doubt people look at that. Not a bad deal for only ten bucks! I'll probably use it as a swim cover up or wear a slip under to use as a dress. You can buy it online here.

This 24hrs crop top was $5. The cheapest thing I got at the sample sale. Obviously it was cheap because they printed the back words a little too close to the bottom, but who cares! I ended up benefiting from their mistake. It's a bit on the big side, but with the right bra I could fill it up haha. You can buy it online here.

Iron Fist clothing is one of my favorite brands and I was so happy they were there. This bag has been on my wish list and I finally got it. The best part: it was only $15! You can buy it online here.

This bag is also Iron Fist and was also $15. It is no longer on their website, but they have the same pattern in a tote bag version here.

This Garbage Pail shirt was also $15. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. It's a mens shirt, but I can make it work. You can buy it online here.

"You Cant Bring Me Down"

"First off, let's take it from the start
Straight out, can't change what's in my heart
No one, can tear my beliefs apart
You can't bring me"

"You ain't, never seen no one like me
Prevail, regardless what the cost might be
Power flows inside of me
You can't bring me"

"Stand up, we'll all sing along
Together, ain't nothin' as strong
Won't quit, we ain't in the wrong
You can't bring me
You can't bring me down"

You can't bring me down because this has been the best summer of my life and it just started. I spent a week in Mexico (I will share my pictures as soon as I get the film developed). I have also been able to sleep in and catch up with friends. I hung out with my best friend on Saturday after months of not seeing each other. She just graduated from USC and I'll be photographing her graduation announcements next week. I am very excited and so proud of her! It is amazing what you can do when you are determined.

It's only Tuesday and my week is going great! Today Bryan and I had a lot of fun going to the movies and having lunch. Have you guys seen A Thousand Ways to Die in the West? It is hilarious. I defiantly recommend it. This weekend is also going to be eventful. I will be attending a sample sale for Lip Service this Saturday and on Sunday I will be at Ink N Iron. Not really going for the tattoos, but for some vendors and to see Suicidal Tendencies. How's that for "hardcore"?! Anyways, it's going to be rad.

Can it be the weekend already?

"Pretty on the inside."

Is she pretty from the back"

Is she ugly on the inside
Baby ugly, ugly from the back"

It has been disgustingly hot here. I hate it! However, it gave me an excuse to wear this bodysuit I've had for months and never worn. I accidentally got it too big so the straps are always falling off and it's annoying having to fix it. I thought it looked cute paired with this skirt though. This skirt is one of my favorites and I got it at such a steal. Luna B has all UNIF items marked down right now so you should jump on it before they sell out.

On another note, this is my last week of classes. I am so excited to be over with finals so I can go on my trip to Mexico. I also can't believe I'm almost done with Uni! One more year and I will be a graduate student. Eeeeeep!
