"Camera"

"From the inside room when the front room greeting
Becomes your special book, it was simple then
When the party lulls, if we fall by the side"

"Will you be remembered? Will she be remembered?
Alone in a crowd, a bartered lantern borrowed
If I'm to be your camera, then who will be your face?"

I'm finally done with school! I now have a Bachelors in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Forensic Studies. After school Bryan took me to Portland as a gift so I will be posting those photos next just waiting on the film. Currently I'm babysitting my cousin and in search of a job...so if you know of any help a sistah out!

Here are some more photos that I took during my last semester at Long Beach. I used my Kodak VR 35. Enjoy and feel free to ask questions.

"Still Waiting"

"So am I still waiting
For this world to stop hating
Can't find a good reason
Can't find hope to believe in"

"These eyes
Have seen no conviction
Just lies and more contradiction
So tell me what would you say
I'd say it's time too late.."

"How far
Will we take this
It's not hard to see through the fakeness
So tell me what would you say
I'd say it's time too late"

Photos by me

Here are some of my favorite photos I've developed recently. Enjoy.

"Picture"

"I see our fate
I see our past
And all the things
That could not last
It's heavy on these eyes
Frozen as I hold this photograph"

"It's all we're left
That's of any worth
And it's so much more
Than a thousand words
Now in this frame
Is the only way we can endure"

Photos by me,
with Kodak VR35 K40

I never have any luck finding cute clothes when I go into Good Will, but I always happen to find cameras. I picked this one up a few months ago and finally got my film developed. It sucks because the Walgreen's by my house no longer develops 35mm film in an hour. They ship it out, so now it takes like three weeks. :(
I was looking at some photography on fliker and it got me really excited. However, it all went away when I picked up my film. I'm not a fan of how the colors came out. I am not sure if it's the the way the new company develops the photos or the camera, but I don't like it at all. It looks like I messed around with the saturation on photoshop. Also the focus range is really awkward. I have to be really far so it can be in focus. Half of my shots were all out of focus. The automatic winding is great though and its a really light camera. I recommend it if you want something quick to shoot with and throw in your bag.

"Itchin on a Photohraph"

"I'm itchin' on a photograph
yeah I'm scratching on a thermostat
yeah I'm giving up on looking back
yeah I'm letting go of what I had"

"yeah I'm waiting on my mum and dad
yeah I'm swinging on a branch that'll last
yeah I'm going up then falling back
yeah I'm itchin' on a photograph"

Shot with a Walgreens brand disposable camera

This is the third roll I shot for Indisposable Concept. I am so happy with it! It was a tone of fun documenting my spring break from Uni. I am really glad I did this. I cant help, but smile now as I look back on the memories I made. Indisposable Project is something everyone should do at least once in their life. Trust me; you wont regret it. These are my favorite of the roll, but you can see the entire roll here. You can also read about what Indisposable Concept is here and check out my previous post on my blog here (1st roll) and here (2nd roll).

"When You WIsh Upon A Star"

"When you wish upon a star
Makes no difference who you are
Anything your heart desires.
Will come to you"

"If your heart is in your dream
No request is too extreme
When you wish upon a star
As dreamers do"

"Like a bolt out of the blue
Fate steps in and sees you through
When you wish upon a star
Your dreams come true"

Disneyland, 2014

These are some photos from past trips to Disneyland. They're from different trips, and they were both equally as fun! Can't wait to go back after the semester is over. This heat is making me crave some Dole Whip and some Splash Mountain fun! Three weeks of school left and I'll be freeeeee!

Tus fotografas para verlas cada vez

Cuando tus fotos me siento a ver
Y en las estrellas tus ojos ver

Expired Fujifilm Disposable Camera
February 2014
Southern CA

I shot another roll for Indisposable Concept last moth. I just haven't gotten around posting it because I have been so busy with school and midterms. That's all over now and spring break is just two weeks away! I was really excited to shoot with my first expired disposable, but I still suck at natural lighting. A lot did not develop or were just too dark that my scanner could not pick it up. Anyways, it was a great learning experience and I enjoyed it.

You can learn more about Indisposable Concept and what they do on my previous post here

"Animal"

"There was a time when my world
Was filled with darkness, darkness, darkness
Then I stopped dreaming now
I'm supposed to fill it up with something, something, something"

"I change shapes just to hide in this place
But I'm still, I'm still an animal
Nobody knows it but me when I slip
Yeah I slip, I'm still an animal"

Shot with a Walgreens brand disposable camera

I recently shot a roll for Indisposable Concept and they are now up on their website. These are just some of my favorites. You can check out my entire roll here. Indisposable Concept inspires people to get back into film by using disposable cameras. The twist is that you have to shoot the entire roll in a week and mail it to them (or email like I did) when your week is up. The results are beautiful; galleries from people all  over the world who have participated. It's a neat experience and actually helps you slow down and admire the beauty that surrounds you. The best part is that its free to participate in and easy. You guys should defiantly check them out and take part of their project! You can learn  more about them here and download the info packet on how to get started here.
